George Stephen apprenticed under Harry Clarke, presenting himself at Harry’s studio 100 years ago, in 1925. The family story is that when Harry saw his portfolio, he said Can you start at 10:30? George Stephen was 14.
George Stephen went on to have a long and distinguished career as an artist, and his son, George W Walsh carries on that tradition from his studio in Dublin.
