And Happy 2025 to you as well, Finola. I haven’t forgotten about sharing bogs (let the reader understand!). I’m not sure where 2024 went, really. I am starting a Sheep’s Head Biodiversity Group with our first meeting on Saturday, 11 Jan 2-4pm at our home in Kilcrohane P75 FD96. I’m a bit involved with the green initiatives in Durrus and that was the springboard for this. On the basis that many people simply don’t SEE flowers etc, my aim is to make this an informal and fun way to share and explore what’s on our doorsteps. And to help us all make our gardens better places for insects, birds, flowers etc. I’ll see at our first meeting what the feel of the group is for how often and when and where to meet. So this is me trying to make a difference for good in 2025!!!
I know you’re already an advanced wild flower person but you’re very welcome to join in if you should want to. I anticipate that tea and cake will be part of the fun. If you’re on WhatsApp and you give me the number to use, I’ll put you into the Group WhatsApp and then you can see if you’d like to come?
