  1. Dear Finola and Robert – Christmas comes but once a year but your posts arrive on Canada’s West Coast every week reminding us of a life and times that we treasured both on our visit and through your prose and pictures. Continue living the good life in West Cork !

  2. Thankyou so much for our weekly injection of West Cork feel good factor. You do a remarkable job sustaining such a high standard of research week in week out. It’s so hard to be away from that particular patch of heaven and as usual a fantasy trip to the Aer Lingus site to check on flights was taken this morning. Hopefully the reality will be in a couple of months time.

  3. Thanks for the lovely photos and thoughtful commentaries — always welcome and interesting as well as informative! Even though I live in a lovely spot myself this island isn’t a patch on that area!
All best wishes for a healthy, happy and Nuclear Free 2018 (and future)!

  4. Yep, wasn’t that a great sunset this evening. Now it’s dark, and the Sky News is a lot less re-assuring ! Your photo reminds me that one of the great American Indian chiefs was called Red Cloud. Each cloud has its day ! Happy Christmas and look forward to further instalments of RWJ in 2018.

  5. Hello Robert and Finola…

Elizabeth and I look forward every Sunday evening to your blogs. They are so useful, informative and well researched. You are both doing a great service to West Cork and beyond. When topics arise as I try to help visitors understand West Cork, I regularly refer to your index of blogs. I’m rarely disappointed, such is the wide variety of subjects you wrote about. I hope you publish a book of them some day!

Meanwhile do enjoy a break at Christmas With grateful thanks David and Elizabeth Ross

PS Do you have a copy of the Christmas edition of the Drimoleague Newsletter. If not it would be my great pleasure to post one to you as a very small thank you for all you do for our communities. D
